My Meisterschüler*innen project engages with the production of knowledge about the unknowns by countering dominancies. I will be looking at palaeontological practices and their aesthetics both in the West and in the Global South, and also at museum making in the context of modernism. I will appropriate model-making as a concentrated form for depicting both future and past realities.

Ipek Burçak is an artist working in video, sound, installation, performance, and publishing. She has been studying art in Kassel and in Vienna. For her Meisterschüler*innen-year, she holds a Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung scholarship (2019).
