The Queer Rambling Choir is a choir that exists only for this one-off occasion. Everyone who’s interested in walking with the choir, singing, shouting, humming, murmuring, yelling Zoe Leonard’s manifesto, is welcome to join and be the choir together. The choir is a joyful orchestra of sorts, an uncoordinated rambling swarm, and has no (choir) leader but allows for multiplicity of voices to come together simultaneously and communally.
Coincidentally, the walk takes place a day after the elections for county parliament in Hessia.
The choir comes together on Monday 29 October 2018 at 2pm at the entrance A (Nordbau) of Kassel Art School, Menzelstrasse 13, Kassel
After a short voice training with professional voice coach Jurate Braginaite we will sing and shout Zoe Leonard’s manifesto while walking, strolling, rambling across the city of Kassel. The walk ends at a Pommesbude or bar of the choir’s choosing.
Print-outs of the manifesto will be available for everyone at the beginning of the walk.
You can watch Mykki Blanco perform Zoe Leonard’s manifesto here:
