Bezugnehmend auf medial vermittelte Bilder von Sexualität inszeniere ich Motive, die sich wild oder selbstbestimmt zu bestehenden Stereotypen von Begehren verhalten. Ein weiterer Bezugspunkt ist die Arbeit feministischer Künstler*innen zu und mit gesellschaftlichen Repräsentationen von Körpern. Für meinen Ansatz konzentriere ich mich auf das Zeichnen als Verlangsamung und Reflexion von Bildern, die sensitiven Eigenschaften des Materials und das Experimentieren mit Ausstellungsdisplays.

The Wild

Referring to images of sexuality conveyed in the media, I stage motives that rearticulate stereotypes of desire in a wild, decidedly idiosyncratic way. Further points of reference are works by feminist artists on cultural representations of bodies. I focus on slowing down perception in order to reflect images through the medium of drawing. I try to emphasize the material´s sensitive qualities and I experiment with the display dimension of my drawings.
